About ISISM - ISIBIO 2026
Driving Industrial Sustainability Through Microbial Innovation
The 15th International Symposium of the Indonesian Society for Microbiology (ISISM) and the 13th International Symposium of Innovative Bioproduction Indonesia on Biotechnology and Bioengineering (ISIBio) 2026 unite leading scholars, researchers, and industry pioneers to address global environmental challenges through bio-based technologies and circular bioprocesses.
Co-organized by PERMI, BRIN, Universitas Udayana, and Universitas Dhyana Pura, this joint conference highlights how microscopic organisms – bacteria, fungi, microalgae, and archaea – can solve macroscopic industrial issues. Through our main theme, “Micro-Circular Synergy: Driving Industrial Sustainability through Microbial Innovation and Strategic Collaboration,” we explore how closed-loop bioeconomies, multi-species microbial consortia, and lab-to-market partnerships turn scientific breakthroughs into scalable solutions.
